Job Description:
About the Company We are a well-established and growing crane hire company operating across Melbourne and Victoria. We pride ourselves on delivering safe, reliable, and professional crane services to the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Mobile Crane Operator to join our team.
About the Role We are looking for a skilled Mobile Crane Operator who holds an open (unrestricted) Licence. You will be operating a range of mobile cranes on various construction and industrial sites across Melbourne and surrounding areas. This is an ongoing role with consistent work and the opportunity to work with a professional and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate mobile cranes (including Franna and All-Terrain cranes) on construction and industrial sites
• Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance inspections on cranes
• Work closely with dogmen, riggers, and site supervisors to ensure safe and efficient lifts
• Read and interpret lift plans and load charts
• Maintain accurate daily logs and paperwork
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company safety policies and legislative requirements
• Represent the company professionally on client sites
About You:
• Current High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) with open mobile crane class (C2 or higher with no restrictions preferred)
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience operating mobile cranes in Australia
• Strong understanding of lift planning and safe lifting practices
• Current White Card (Construction Induction)
• Excellent safety record and strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Reliable transport and flexible to work across different sites
• Experience with Franna cranes is highly regarded
• Dogging and/or Rigging ticket is advantageous
